Rockwood AIRPORT FAQ'S

What are your hours?

We're open every weekday from 8am to 4pm eastern. Beginning late Fall 2025, we'll expand our hours of operation to weekends as well. We're also more than happy to service your needs during off hours, simply let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we'll be here to greet you!

Do you have Full-Service fuel?

Yes - we have both Jet-A and 100ll fuel trucks, operated by Titan Fuels certified line service associates.

Do you have a Crew Car or Rental Cars?

Yes - we have two crew cars to help you get around during your visit to the Rockwood area. They are only available during regular business hours and are limited to 1-hour use. A valid driver's license and valid insurance card must be presented prior to use.

Are there hangars to rent?

We have 16 T-Hangars with a waiting list of approximately 55 people. Construction of 75,000 square feet of new hangars are currently under construction, used for community or transient based aircraft.

Where do I park on the ramp?

Because of the construction happening, our tie-down spaces are limited on the ramp. These spaces are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Do you have merchandise?

We do sell a small assortment of golf shirts, t-shirts, etc. There is a full listing of what we offer on this website.

Do you have any oil or hydraulic fluid?

We do sell 3 varieties of aircraft oil, available for purchase at the front desk.

Can I hunt on the airport property?

Hunting is not permissible on airport property without written approval by airport management.

Can I access the ramp 24 hours a day?

There is a pedestrian walk-through gate that is accessible 24/7/365. Motor vehicle access is only available through coordination with staff.

Is there a flight instructor or aircraft to rent at the airport?

Freedom Aviation, owned and operated by Mike Fields, provides flight instruction and rents out his aircraft.
